RE: The Enigma Project and the God Protocols (serious implications!)

in #enigma7 years ago

HI @Dana-edwards, as an official promoter, can you please share on why other programmable blockchain can't imitate or add enigma's ability to encrypt data into their future versions?

Sort:

Just like you can create an altcoin or fork Ethereum it doesn't mean you'll have network effect or the data. What I mean is if you think of data as currency then the holders of the data on Enigma who got paid in ENG might not be so quick to switch to a clone.

The other thing about Enigma is the source code isn't available to copy. Can you find the source code? It's not being made public because I suspect that they know if it becomes public before network effect is gained it will be copied. I don't think it will be so easy to copy without having a lot of expertise and the expertise is quite scarce in areas of cryptographer and data scientist. So you would need lots of top cryptographers, data scientists, etc, how do you attract them?

The Enigma Project has MIT behind it.
