Maggie May is 8 years old now and I can't imagine my life without her. Unfortunately, English bulldogs don't have a very long lifespan. Compared to the 15 plus years that labs and beagles tend to live, English bulldogs have an average lifespan of 10 -11 years. Because Maggie May has the most soul and character of any dog I've met or owned in the past, it's my life's mission to ensure she is loved throughout her life! So, if you are a parent of an English bulldog, here are a few pointers to love this perfect dog breed.
Let Them Eat Cake
Ok, not really. Do not give your English bulldog cake. The high levels of sugar and cream are not good for them. However, you should let them eat and let them eat a lot. They are meant to be chunky, so unless the vet tells you they need to lose weight for their health, let them eat! Just be prepared for the gas....
Let Them Sleep
English bulldogs love to sleep whenever AND WHEREVER they can, so just let them. They are cuddly, soft, and cute, so why not, right? My 55 pound Maggie May thinks she's a lap dog, and you know what? She is! She can lay on my lap anytime because I love to cuddle with her.
Food and sleep are the keys to an English bulldog's life, so show yours some love with delicious snacks, a lot of sleep, and tons of cuddle time.

Thanks. I have a ton of questions about how this whole thing works. I'm thinking about writing a post-asking people to answer my questions. lol
I'm thinking of doing the same. My voting power has dropped a lot; going to look at some other postings. Look into the minnow support project.
I actually did write up a post, if you're interested in reading it. Lots of helpful replies, so I'm glad I asked.
I upvoted your other two postings, thank you
Thank you so much. I'm following you. Love your posts.
Hello jenearp, I'm trying to up vote this post for 100%, but it won't let me?
I really don't know how this all works! I'm very new...as in, I just posted today for the first time, so I'd appreciate any comments/follows/upvotes.
Bulldogs rule!
Yes, they do.
