Darkwave:

The Darkwave originates in the late 70s coinciding with the movement of popularity the new wave and post-punk. The term or the use of the word darkwave was said and adopted for the first time in Europe that refers to the darkest variants of the new wave, gothic rock and synthpop at that time we will find bands like Bauhaus, Joy Division, Siouxsie and the Banshees , The Chameleons, New Order, Cocteau Twins, Anne Clark, Killing Joke, The Cassandra Complex, Mizar, Fields of the Nephilim, The Sisters of Mercy, Depeche Mode, Chris and Cosey, Fad Gadget, Soft Cell, Tones on Tail, Gary Numan, The Smiths, The Neon Judgment and Poésie Noire.

The movement was expanding internationally, in countries like France was born a derivative of the darkwave called coldwave that described a cold, mechanical and passionate sound at the same time the bands that came closest to this concept are KaS Product, Martin Dupont, Asylum Party, Norma Loy, Clair Obscur, Marquis de Sade, Opera Multi Steel or Trisomie 21.
