Day after day millions of animals are run over when trying to cross the highways that are in the middle of their habitats putting their lives at risk. For this a bridge was created for the passage of wildlife and thus avoid that they run the risk of being run over or crushed while trying to cross the dangerous roads.

The first ecoduct was made in France in 1950 and followed by other countries that were creating ingenious bridges for various animal types. Some of these bridges have vegetation typical of the area and its funnel-shaped structure to guide the animals that transit through the area and prevent them from dying on the tracks.
I will mention some of these bridges for the crossing of different animals that are found around the world:
Bridge for the passage of crabs
Image
Each year on the island Christmas there is a large migration of red crabs that lasts about 1 week, which causes 120 million crabs to pass through that area. Because of this a bridge was specially designed for them and thus prevent millions of them from being crushed on the highways when trying to cross.
Bridge for squirrels

This ingenious suspension bridge helps squirrels cross from one side to the other. Cacatuas that were on the site posed for the photo =)
Tunnels for large animals

In Kenya they designed the first tunnel for the passage of elephants and for different animals that are found in the area. In New England they also created a small tunnel for the passage of amphibians and other species ..

Ecoduct in Holanda

Holanda is one of the countries most committed to the preservation of wildlife, they have around 600 wildlife bridges and this image is the most representative because we can see that even has large trees.
Bridge for the passage of bears

The United States designed this bridge in mid-2015 for the passage of bears, deer and elk. They are animals that fortunately have benefited a lot from him.
Thanks to these great bridges and tunnels, millions of animals are saved every year and not only animals. Traffic accidents are also considerably reduced when trying to dodge animals that cross the area. I hope this post has been of your liking =)
