WHAT IS THE BRIGHTNESS OF THE STARS

in #english7 years ago

Hello friends how are these my first post and I'll talk a little about the stars in the universe, but we will mention one in particular: The stars.

As we all know, stars are celestial bodies whose luminosity attracts a lot of attention when we look towards the firmament at night. But what exactly is a star? Well A star is a huge mass of gas super heated and compressed due to the action of gravity causing it to have a perfect spherical shape and emitting large amounts of light.

Many will wonder what is the energy or fuel that makes this star work? Here's the interesting thing: At the center or core of a star, a reaction type called nuclear fusion takes place, which is the union of light atoms of a chemical element to form a heavier one, releasing large amounts of energy; in this case the chemical element that is always present in nuclear reactions is hydrogen due to its abundance in the universe and is the lightest of all the elements of the periodic table, that is, its atomic weight is the smallest of all

It should be noted that the sun is also a star whose nucleus consumes large amounts of hydrogen to convert it into energy through fusion

Today there are laboratories that have been responsible for repeating this same process artificially using experimental nuclear reactors to try to take advantage of this energy that is clean, does not generate any waste, does not produce greenhouse gases and its fuel can be extracted from the water of sea rich in hydrogen.

In conclusion, the stars are central that produce so much energy, a great variety of heavy elements from simple atoms and make possible the life on a planet as the Earth bringing light and heat to the ecosystem. I hope you liked this topic
