I did not know you did this... i've been trying to do something similar, i'm trying to reward good comments and engagement on my posts with SmartCash!
This is a blogging platform but also a social network platform, not engaging with other people should be frowned upon...
I've actually stopped following some people that never reply to comments, i don't like it... i would understand if they had 100 comments but some had only 2 comments... why wouldn't they have the time to reply ?
Time and lack of monetary reward puts some off, but visiting a blog with lots of decent comments and no author replies doesn't look good imo.

Lack of monetary reward? Well... rewards come from upvotes, upvotes come from people, people like to comment and get a reply back, if no reply happens, rewards go down...I see lots of comments on youtuber's posts that came to dtube, and almost no replies some times... I call it "youtuber's comment mentality..." to some them comment section doesn't exist
boxmining is actually one of the few youtubers that came to dtube that replies back, always glad to listen to 10min of him speaking and then talk with him about cryptos over the comments... we are all humans here :)
Fine by me! I'll be here for a while... probably until the end of STEEM, which will never happen :P
ha, right! It's a pretty poor show on some of their feeds, I've actually mentioned it to a couple of vloggers in the past, who did actually respond with a 'must try harder'.
