Hey, @abh12345.
I probably should go and reply to your reply from my comment on last week's engagement and curation league post first, but I'm kind of in the habit of coming here to start the week off. As it is, since you probably won't see this comment until later this week (no worries, either—I know I'm always late to the party and there's certainly other things to do), and no one else is likely to see it, either (unless I tag a bunch of people), I think it will turn out just fine.
Thank you for continuing this league. You could easily move on to something else, like STEEM Monsters Play League, where you keep track of the number of times people play (NTPP), how many wins (HMW), unique opponents (UO) and repeat opponents (RO), and then points for (PF) and points against (PA). Since STEEM Monsters are all the rage and everything, I wouldn't blame you if you did. It's caught the imagination of many a STEEM user here, and between that and lower STEEM prices, well, maybe it's time to accommodate more than just engagement on this platform.
Because when you've got STEEM Monsters, who needs engagement (as much). Am I right? Who's with me?
Personally, since there's not much engagement, anyway, for whatever reasons, I've gotten used to and rather enjoy starting conversations and then maybe hearing from some but mostly not from others. It's great. It's like I got in the first AND last word. Harder to start an argument that way.
Anyway, all sarcasm aside, I do wish you well in all your endeavors this week, and I do thank you for the leagues, and also @curie for continuing to sponsor them.
Congratulations to everyone in green, blue and gold(?). @themanwithnoname, it's about time you were Lucky 25. Just saying. :)
Onward and upward.
Well Glen, I'm going to surprise you this week with a prompt reply :)
Nice idea re:steemmonsters, but as a lot of the players are running script (today's update may put a stop to that for a little while at least), the numbers aren't really worth much to me.
I don't blame folks for spending less time here right now - less new joiners, more leavers. I'm looking at some stats re: Posts/Comments, per application, trying to wring out some growth areas. Partiko looks promising early doors.
I'm hoping curie continue, this one was on me as the month isn't up. I think they will this time, but it wont be the case forever. Anyway, many of the accounts placed in the top 20 at any point this year are still here, and have grown a lot - faster than me in some cases (nice to have fiat at 30 cents :) ).
Thanks for your continued support, Leagues promotion, and activity here and on Steem :)
Okay, who is this and what have you done with the real @abh12345?! :)
So, a lot of people are using their phone to engage with via Partiko? Is that what you're saying? Or are you also saying that Partiko is onboarding people?
Not a big fan of using my phone for much of anything other than maybe texting, calling, and maps, but I know that I am (once again) the dinosaur exception here. Something about liking to see what I'm typing without too much squinting, and actually using fingers instead of thumbs. I know that's not a big deal for others (young eyes, young thumbs).
I kind of missed the part that this round of prizes was on you. Wow. Double thanks for that, then. With curie running their own comment contest, and then C-squared and C-cubed another (seems like it's all kind of the same thing, but not—it's hard to sort out), seems like curie is backing a lot of the engagement that is going on.
Have they given you any indication how long they plan to continue?
I've been enjoying October and November growth-wise. It feels like about time, too, and now of course, I'm wondering when it's all going to come to a halt. Things don't last forever, and then some things get undone prematurely, too.
There still are plenty of people around and on the list, but it seems like the amounts have downshifted, so there's not enough effort needed to stay in the Top 25%. That's just me looking at this week's numbers and vaguely comparing them with weeks past, so I haven't gone and pulled numbers or made comparisons. I just know what I did this week and it was good enough for a top 10 showing even though I barely broke 16,000 points.
:D Got me at a good time - I'm doing anything but sorting this post out.
Yes that's the one, it seems to be rising while general engagement numbers are falling.
I think they may do the next 8 weeks, and look for other projects in the new year, but I don't know for sure. And yes, @curie have really helped try to rally engagement these past 6 months.
The points totals have dropped a fair way, I might do a post summarizing the yearly numbers - there is plenty of data to get stuck into.
Cheers!
Noooo... still not on steem monsters!!!!!!

Hey, @riverflows.
I feel your pain, but I'm not sure what you're saying. Is that, 'Nooooo... I'm still not on STEEM Monsters', or is that, 'Noooooooo.... You're still not on STEEM Monsters'?
Either way, I guess, it sounds like a tragedy in the making. :) I'm pretty sure there's still time if it's you. If it's me... at some point I'll try to check it out. My wife isn't very happy about STEEM period, so I'm treading lightly as it is.
Haha my husband has given up on me
... a steem widow. If I take up monsters he will divorce me.

Aha, okay. So you and I are in the same STEEM boat, so to speak. :)
As it is, I'm okay with that. Until I can show her some financial gains, she's not going to be happy, and while STEEM is $0.32 USD, there's not anything to show her. I can guarantee she won't get the value of digital playing cards (because I'm not entirely sold on them myself—I'm concerned about the shelf life of such a thing).
I can just see her staring at you disapprovingly.
