RE: The Curation and Engagement Leagues ๐Ÿ† - STEEM prizes & steem-bounty available! ๐ŸŽ

in #engagement โ€ข 6 years ago

I'm new around these parts, just one month since I started paying attention to these tables and just my second week on the board.

I'm thinking something like C/U, or comments per unique user. Just a thought, maybe it doesn't count for anything on the official scores but I'd love to see the data.

Once I get around to it I'd love to dig through the sql dbase with r, maybe one day!

It sounds like abh12345 might be doing something like that. It's late where he is, so I don't expect he's around to confirm, but it sounds like we may end up with an additional column, which means a different results in points, as early as this week.

Great to meet you Glen! I see you too vie for that top spot, and take the cake on comment length ;p

Likewise. It's more like Janton just takes it and I come along for the ride as high as I can get. :)

Yeah, the comment length category is kind of what I'm trying to improve upon, but now I need to do it through the number of comments, too. It's going to be the only way to stay close to him.

I think that's right, and I feel like we are all winners just for trying! I'm riding along with you guys ;)

The bonus steem feels good too!

You're right a few more and shorter comments could help to win the league once again.

I also wonder if these comments at depth level..... 5-10 or something like that, help us better than the first reply at level 2?

Few being relative. My guess is, I need to get closer to 500 comments to have a similar effect on points as he does at 1,000, only because of the difference in CL per comment. Three hundred comments with the corresponding CR obviously is not enough.

re: depth level

I'm not sure what your question is. The more we tack on, obviously, the more it helps us in CR. I don't think Asher has a depth value that gets added. If you're wondering if it helps us connect more with who we're engaging with, I would say yes. If you're wondering if it's a measure of good engagement the farther we go, I would say, in most cases, absolutely.

Did you already make it up to 500 comments this week?

I estimate that I'm on track for half that number. Which would already be a miracle for me. But let's wait and see if I'm not totally having an incorrect feeling.

I'm not anywhere close to 500 comments, @crypto-econom1st. :)

I'm hoping for 400, but I'm going to have to have pretty good days today and tomorrow to manage that.

I hope yout own math is correct. That would be great, especially if it is a miracle. :)
