I'm slow on the uptake, I confess... and I guess there was also a slight element of "I'm already an established curator" that made me feel like a bit of an impostor... but this is fun!
As for the famous "self-voting" hot potato, when that debate first showed up in force (I guess slightly after HF.19) I repeatedly pitched the argument β and this is just my own philosophy and perception β that self-voting is akin to being an author who publishes a book... and then runs down to the bookstore and buys lots of copies to artificially inflate the public appearance of "how well" the book is selling. But I am also up-front in admitting that I have some old personal moral/philosophical issues there, revolving around "fair play" and the core notion that "if what you do can't stand on its own, why the f*ck are you even involved?"
