Thanks for the "tip" @abh12345, and for running the leagues; I still think this has to be one of the best "retention" initiatives we have... get people involved in the gamification of their own participation, and they tend to hang around.
And, of course, congratulations to the amazing @janton who's truly in a league of his own!
What I find really interesting β and telling β about looking at the top 100 here is just how many of these names are familiar to me and/or people I follow. I say "telling" because it's testament to the fact that engagement is how you get your name out there and become a "familiar face," which surely has to help build stake, in the long term.
howdy again @denmarkguy! thank you for your kind words which I think are a little exaggerated but sound good nonetheless! I agree that the contest is really helping engagement.
I couldn't agree with you more about the Top 100 and how engagement gets our name out there. There's been a post about retention numbers with the league versus that of the rest of Steemit, and the numbers bore out your thinking pretty well.
We probably should put janton in another league and let him compete against himself. :)
I really hope this is indeed the case, and wish for all the key participants accounts to steadily grow.
Thank you for the kind words of support for the Leagues, and well done on reaching a prize position this week :)
