Congratulations everyone! It looks like @janton really got a new chair :D
Oh, I'm so happy to get a spot prize! Unfortunately I spent too much time on the computer last week and it looks like I got the inflammation in my right arm again :(
As my doctor is threatening me with a surgery I will have to type with the left hand only which is challenging so I think I'll be happy to see my name anywhere in the list next week..
But it was worth it anyway :D
Hope that you'll gonna mastering the left hand fingers dance ion keyboard next week and congratulations for being on top 20 engagers this week, really love to see your comments everywhere.
Thank you Cici! I love to to support others! Congratulations on the lucky number prize! :)
aww I'm sorry to hear that @delishtreats, and as much as I understand your want to learn left-handed typing and retain your spot here, your doctor is right! Take as much of a break as needed; I'll be awaiting your full recovery and return :)
Thank you Lynn! The thing is that my arm was paralyzed for a month. I couldn't brush my teeth, comb my hair and my husband had to help me to get dressed. I couldn't move it at all. I had to take sleeping pills because I was not able to sleep due to the pain.
I had multiple scans and had to see several doctors as they were afraid it would never completely heal. At the end they told me that it will take at least one year to get to normal. I was very frustrated but didn't give up. This was in April. I went through many therapies and was feeling much better. My doctor told me a couple of weeks ago he was surprised that it was healing so well. I've seen his this week too and he was not that happy anymore. It hurts again and I have to slow down..
Actually I was left handed but I was forced to do everything with my right hand when I was a child. At that time it was not 'normal' to be left handed. I think it should not be that difficult for me to type with the left hand but I'll see how it goes. When I couldn't do anything with my right hand a few months ago I even learned to chop the onion with my left :D I couldn't give up cooking!! :D
Thank you for your support!
ahhh the days of treating lefties like lepers! I am sorry to hear your healing has backtracked though, but the fact that you can chop onions with your left hand leaves me feeling very hopeful for you :)
Damn, amazing to earn such a high placing with only one hand to type with. Perhaps @janton can do the same to even things out? π
Hahaha, half a week I was still typing with two hands but then I couldn't anymore. Next week will be left hand only and I think it's a good idea to challenge @janton to do the same :D he can even use the right hand if he wants :D
Hello Delish Treats, have you ever considered or attempted a software speech - to - text program? I have heard of these things, not sure how great they work, but this could be a use case!
That is a great idea @ecoinstant! I didn't know about it..will check it out! Thank you for the suggestion!
I was looking up some of the open source projects, and I don't see a really workable software yet. I did find Dragon naturally speaking, but there are many versions and prices...seems like this is the consumer and business product that has been around the longest.
Oh my I may have to update that when I am not in night mode...lol!
Great idea! :D
