RE: The Curation and Engagement Leagues πŸ† - STEEM prizes & steem-bounty available! 🎁

Place 93, I am back on the Curation list again this week. That list I seem to alternate back and forth on, one week on one week off. I am guessing the on weeks are due to most people having an off week at the lower end that I land on. First time I made the list I was in place 98, I thought that was a pretty good spot. Maybe if people continue to have a bad week I can break into the 80's. After almost a year on steemit you'd think I would have a better understanding of the financial part, yeah-right, 2+2= what now? LoL. To complicated, Next year I'll learn.

No need to learn, just upvote the good stuff when you find it. Much less hassle 😁

I think that's pretty much why I dropped out of the curation section this week... I was "in" for a few weeks, but I just don't have the patience to "wait around for 20 minutes" to cast votes... I'd much rather just vote and go.

=^..^=

Sounds like my vote style. I find something, I like something, it does not matter when the post was made, if it is less than six and a half days old, I vote.

I realize there was a good reason why that 30-minute window was created, but it's actually kind of cumbersome for manual curators who interact a lot... at least if you are trying to maximize your curation rewards.

=^..^=

Yes it is like a choice is being forced on people, curate or create, but never the two shall meet. I think we are showing them that is wrong you can curate, and create at the same time. The rewards are just not as high as concentrating on one or the other, but that is the monetary reward, the emotional feel good reward is a combination of both of them. It does not matter how many followers you have because of great content, if you do not take the time to interact with them, at least a few of them, your value is going to go down. That is why I always tell new users that they need to give at least one or two votes to real people that comment on their postings, if not, people after a while will just drift away, and leave your post commentless. (Which kind of sucks).

I made the curation list last week, too, and thought, cool. I'm onto something. Nope. Nowhere to be found this week. :)

Yeah, it is sometimes a right cast vote I guess, a lucky one or two votes. But it is always fun to see when I make the list. I think I have a new disease, listamania, I need to see the list to read the list, and sometimes I have this strange urge to be on the list. Listamania yep, I think I must have that.

I'll admit the list is rather addicting, so maybe I have it, too.

Seeing what I've done and how it compares is helpful within limits, so I'm okay with listamania as long as it doesn't consume me. Hopefully, this particular strain you're talking about is not terminal. :)
