Oh... This was pretty neat actually. I like the distribution approach, except for the fact that some people will obviously reward their alt accounts.
It was a nice idea nevertheless, and I hope people will see this more as a fun thing, rather than be dead serious about raking in ENGAGE tokens. Nice work!
Yeah pretty awesome work by @holger80 - certainly a witness to consider!
Rewarding alts may happen yeah. I'm wondering if 'blacklists' might help, or a restriction on how many a particular account can issue from the pool each day.
Hopefully most of those with 1000+ at present are here to help and have some fun.
!ENGAGE 20
That are some good ideas for the next update :).
:D
I didn't want to flood you with requests on the first day, but I have some ideas!
a 'blacklist' may be a lot of work to update, someone could keep moving their ENGAGE around and repeating the process.
Limiting the number of tokens an account can issue from the pool each day might be a better approach, I would like to see this option at some point.
Thanks again, great stuff!
The 'blacklist' could be all accounts that @misterengagement is muting. A manual list will not work, it should be somehow connected to the follow/muting list. This would be very easy to implement on my side.
Limiting the token per day, is also a good idea.
I like the mute/blacklist idea, and a limit option - I shall look out for both features 😁
I'm not sure... I mean, I suppose you've launched ENGAGE tokens as something fun. But one shouldn't forget the actual potential. There is a chance that they become worth something in the future, so thinking about the distribution and how to prevent forms of misuse and things like that might be a good idea.
A restriction like that might work in the beginning, and should prevent some abuse, but people with 1K ENGAGE would probably just transfer the tokens to their alts and continue to issue more tokens for themselves. Back and forth...?
I don't know, I feel bad for talking about abuse and stuff literally one second after you've made this, but better safe than sorry, you know? :D
We will have to see how it goes, I'm will to give people a chance.
