I rather not brigade anything. This would make this community hated.
I respect your opinion. But I think this is to protect and sametime a golden oppurtunity to spread and educated people on BOINC/gridcoin value and perception.
posting comment on FB with guns blazing/attacking altcoin of course will create hatred. alot of people there will protect thier coin with thier life.
It is how we approach this. Enlighting them and letting them know there is something better. its a fine thread traverse.
Even though BTC consumes a lot of energy and may ultimately fail, it has served as an important proof-of-concept for blockchain. It has led to a lot of innovative cryptocurrencies, like, say, Gridcoin. Blockchain has many other potential uses that are only starting to be explored. So, let's not beat up on BTC, but, instead, promote GRC's virtues and show interest in future crypto innovations and other blockchain uses.
(Personally, I think failure is very likely given BTC's slow transaction speed and poor security.)
