I'm trying to encourage you with a couple of upvotes, because I find you have made some interesting posts (going to the black hole one next), but I nearly gave you a skip, as I first went to the goby fish post, saw you had posted a video, but had not bothered to add any commentary of your own - not even a few words to tempt me into watching it.
I've followed so that I get the chance to see you improve and grow.
btw - the first two months can be very disheartening. Stick it out, life here, if you are original and have interesting ideas, will improve. Also, take the time to visit as many other posts as you can and leave real comments, not just 'great bro' or 'nice post', most of us can do without such comments. also, avoid asking them to upvote you or follow. If you earned it, they will.
Make a remark that shows you thought about their post, that you enjoyed or appreciated or learnt from it, or mention an anecdote you think ties in with theirs or...you get the idea? You will need to make 100's of posts for your rep to go up and making them as original posts will drain you. Each comment counts, it helps you make friends and discover some great material. Plus, without cost to you, upvoting them rewards them and you could also earn bits and pieces from those you upvoted.
There is a lot of bs on Steemit, but also some great talent, so it is upto you to make it a pleasurable experience for yourself and others.
