a traditional Acehnese cook is usually a person who has been chosen through a traditional meeting and is appointed directly by the adat leader after the deliberation process with the local community. because the chosen person is certainly a person who has experience in cooking spices so that each dish tastes delicious when eaten.

A cook is also assisted by several local residents when there is a wedding party or other event. such as helping to chop meat, light a fire, and prepare other ingredients under the command of the cook.
