A senior FBI official in the United States put a map of countries that pose the biggest "cyberspace" threat to the United States.

The mapmaker, Aristides Mahayras, is the director of special operations (Internet and penetrations) of the Federal Bureau of Investigation in New York, according to Business Insider.

Mahairas said the United States is a permanent target for hackers and cyber terrorists, but the biggest threat to "cyber" threats comes from the governments of some countries, namely four countries, notably Russia and China, Iran and North Korea.

Russia

According to Mahayras, Russia is the most developed country in the field of espionage and cyber-penetrations, referring to the penetration of the Internet giant "Yahoo" in the process of damaging about one billion accounts to be the largest "crime" of data violations in history.
The electronic pirate Karim Baratov, who worked with Russia, was sentenced to five years' imprisonment.

Mahayras also highlighted a different kind of Russian cyber attacks aimed at influencing public opinion to the detriment of national security. According to him, Russia's intervention in the last US presidential election won by US President Donald Trump led to an indictment in February of 13 belonging to Russia To the "Saint Petersburg Farm" cell of an Internet research firm.

"Russia and other countries have recognized the importance of cyber penetration as a useful weapon by exploiting the information and data obtained as a result of cybercrime to undermine Americans' trust in their institutions and their country's values, and more importantly, creating a state of division among people in order to create chaos and conflict," Maheras said. In the community".

He pointed out that such processes aimed at influencing public opinion are not new, but there is a significant increase in their impact and spread because of social networking sites.

"The best way to prevent cybercrime is to put things transparently on social networking platforms like Facebook, so that things are clear to the target audience that allows them to have their views clearly," he said.

China

Until recently, China launched "very troublesome" cyber attacks, but after the United States accused five Chinese military officials of conducting cyber-piracy and economic espionage in 2014, Beijing is more cautious and plans for things in a more sophisticated way beyond suspicion, according to Maheras.

China's harshest "cyber" operation was to penetrate Lockheed Martin's data. Chinese military officers successfully stolen important military secrets, especially the F-35 fighter jet.

In a series of serious attacks by Chinese pirates, there was a process called the "Byzantine Abyss", where the attacks cost America about $ 100 million.

Iran

Mahairas said there has been a "significant increase in activity" by Iranian hackers in recent years, becoming more sophisticated and targeted in their attacks against the United States. This was demonstrated last year when Iranian pirate Behzad Masri attacked the HBO entertainment company, The company's data and leaked episodes of the seventh part of the famous series "Game Of Thrones" and demanded a $ 6 million transformation in the form of the currency of Petequin, in exchange for not leaking those episodes.

He is now on the US wanted list and faces the risk of being arrested if he leaves Iran.

Although Masri was acting alone, Mahireas said the FBI was increasingly concerned about "threats" when criminal states used dirty acts on behalf of those governments.

North Korea

North Korea continues to pose a serious cyber threat to the United States, despite the recent improvement in relations between the two countries. "There is no kind of diplomatic relationship, not a cyber threat to a country like North Korea," Maheras said.

The administration of US President Donald Trump has accused North Korea of responsibility for the massive electronic attack "WannaCry", which paralyzed many organizations worldwide, especially health service institutions in Britain.
