I'm a scared human being

This #election made a madman #president. This #news is scary and disgusting. As the mother of African-American children, I am scared and disgusted. As a woman, I am scared and disgusted. As the best friend of a lesbian and the niece of gay men, I am scared and disgusted. As someone who cares about the environment and the ability of humans and animals and plants to continue life on this planet, I am scared and disgusted. As a friend to Spanish-speaking people living in my country, I am scared and disgusted. As someone raised Christian, I am scared and disgusted. As someone who does not hate others because of the religion they were raised in, I am scared and disgusted. But mostly as a human being, I am scared and disgusted. More than fifty million people have declared war on love, understanding, thoughtfulness, education, progress, useful #politics, and humanity. They are happy about the outcome of this election. I am a stranger in this land.
