Next week the winners of the U.S. election will be known, but the really big winner will not be named. That's because the really big winner is the antithesis of the mainstream media.
And One Will Be Chosen To Rule Them All
Many of the winners announced after the election will be from one of the two parties. But the big winner will not be from either party.
And the BIG WINNER Is...
Alternative Media
The big winner of this election cycle is the alternative media. Those who dare to share and speak the truth. Delivering the truth no matter which candidate it favored. Those like H. A. Goodman and AMTV and others who have seen their subscriber list grow.
And the Content Providers and Curators on SteemIt
SteemIt as part of the alternative media is also a big winner. This is SteemIt's first election season. SteemIt has proven to be a platform and community where ideas and opinions can be shared. And since it is on the block chain, no overlord can ever delete the content. This alone differentiates it from other platforms used by the alternative media.
As SteemIt matures and new capabilities abound, I can easily see SteemIt being the preferred platform of the alternative media.

Jill Stein will win.
I do hope that the independent (not one of the two party system) candidates gather some significant votes in this upcoming election. Maybe not enough to capture an electoral vote, but definitely enough two break the concept of the two-party system with it binary choice.
Steem on,
Mike
Clinton has it. Just look at the aggregated polls and an electoral college map. Rather than betting directly on the election I'm planning to reap better rewards from going long on the USD before the big Clinton win.
There will definitely be opportunities like that after the election results are in. Good luck with your trading and I hope you do find those opportunities to profit.
Steem on,
Mike
Some say that although they are different, the outcome will be pretty much the same. https://steemit.com/politics/@rmach/us-election-opinions-on-trump-vs-hillary-concerning-economy
I can tell you who the losers will be, but I don't feel like posting a picture of all of us right now.
I am hoping there is some good that comes from this election in as much as the two-party system with its binary choice is discredited. It may be a long shot, but I hope the independent (not part of the two-party system) candidates are able to make a case that they should be included in future Presidential debates. We have a playoff system in sports. Why not a kind of playoff debate system? The American people deserve to hear from everyone running for the job.
Steem on,
Mike
Yeah, it would be nice to have some real options!
Thanks @etcmike!
yes! upvoted. resteemed. followed.
A big thank you to YOU! I really appreciate it.
Steem on,
Mike
Thats true, however with as tight of a race as it is, it my not be decided on 11-8-2016 like one could hope, if neither canidate gets 270 then it could be longeer time to find out the winners. But you said it the true winners are the media like SteemIt which is blochchain based and no one can delete the comments or the posts
We can only hope.
Confusion to our enemies.
If we're lucky they'll be tied up in court for YEARS.
If we're lucky the winner won't be determined until it's time to elect a new one.
I doubt that it will be tied up for years look at the electoral college, if neither candidate gets 270 then the House picks the President while the Senate picks the Vice President, so one can only hope the voters decide other wise I think the alternative would be much worse.
One can only hope.
I'm stocking up on pop corn and beer.
It should be fun to watch.
I am not to knowledgeable about the US voting system, I thought it was impossible for one candidate not to get the 270 votes, am I wrong?
There are a few independent (neither democrat or republican) candidates who could win a few electoral votes. I think that is highly unlikely at this point.
You are correct that with a binary-choice it is nearly impossible for one candidate not to win. Each state has a certain number of electoral voters given to it based on population. Usually the winner of the state gets those electoral votes. However, there have been cases in our history where the electoral voter votes for someone else.
The system was set up to be a check and balance type system. It is rare to have the electoral votes not echo the voice of the people in the state, but it can happen.
Just in case a candidate does not receive the 270 or more electoral votes needed, the House of Representatives decides who will be the next President. That has not happened in my lifetime and I can see that being a total mess today if it happened. But it has happened in our history.
Steem on,
Mike
According to CNN but it could happen since in general the 538 people who make up the electoral college can vote for who they want, but most the time they vote for the person who won the majority in the state. Just re-watching the video it also says that if there is a tie as well as if neither candidate get to 270 then the house votes for the president and the senate votes the vice president. Other then 2 states the winner of the popular vote get that states electoral vote, the exceptions are Nebraska and Maine, their electoral vote goes based on who won a combination of the state and counties.
That may be.
Off hand though I'd say we're all gonna be loser.
Alternative media reporting about the government is like lipstick on a pig. It's really nice lipstick. Very attractive.
But the Government is still a pig.
I do have hope that the alternative media pointing out that the government is a "pig" will cause more people to see the truth.
Of course I may be naive to have hope.
Steem on,
Mike
I was being polite.
The winner is the leaders behind it all
