Happy Birthday, Антон! 💗💗💗💗"
The name "Draco" originated in Greece, and since then, this constellation has been known as such in German, Italian, and French. Some authors considered it the Old Serpent, which tempted Eve in the Garden of Eden. This reminds us of the Greek myth of the titan Atlas, who guarded the Garden with the Golden Apples.
"The illustration was made by my friend, the artist @xdip .
In the land ruled by Atlas, there grew a grove of trees with golden branches and fruits. Pythia prophesied to Atlas that one day "the gold of his tree will be stolen, and the best part will go to the son of Zeus."
Fearing the prophecy would come true, Atlas surrounded the golden grove with a wall and appointed a DRAGON as its guardian. Furthermore, he allowed no strangers to visit his domain.

According to Ovid's "Metamorphoses," after defeating the Gorgon Medusa, Perseus arrived in the realm of Atlas. It was situated on the far western edge of the earth, where "it offers wide waters to the sun's tired horses and welcomes the weary axles."
Perseus (it's important to emphasize that his father was Zeus) arrived at Atlas without any intention of robbery. He merely asked for hospitality and a place to rest after the battle where he defeated the Gorgon Medusa (whose gaze turned people into stone) and needed to regain his strength.
Atlas, aware of Pythia's prophecy, demanded the uninvited guest to leave with threats. Seeing that he was significantly weaker than the giant, Perseus took out the head of the slain Gorgon Medusa and showed it to Atlas. As a result, Atlas turned to stone, his hair and beard became forests, his shoulders and arms turned into the mountain range of the Atlas Mountains, and his head became a mountain peak, upon which "the sky, with its vast constellations, found its rest."
The phrase "Garden with Golden Apples" reminds me of the starry sky, which is scattered with stars like golden fruits.
It is known that Draco is a circumpolar constellation, bordering the sky, and it indeed resembles a wall or a fence guarding the egg where new life is unwinding and developing.

"It's the same serpent. It symbolizes cyclicality and renewal.
After all, only snakes can renew themselves so beautifully, shedding their old skin and acquiring a new one.
DRACO is always visible above the horizon.
The region of the celestial sphere occupied by the Draco constellation stretches between the constellations of Ursa Major and Ursa Minor, which is why it is said that 'the dragon flies between the two bears'.
Those who have read my posts about the stellar Ursa Major and the North Star, I hope, will remember that in some myths they symbolize the beginning and the end.
The places where life begins...
and ends...
'The dragon flies between the two bears'."

Protecting the egg where life is developing.
On ancient star maps and in atlases, they depicted a vast dragon's body,
THEY KNEW MORE THAN WE THINK.
The world of Atlas turned to stone;
The land of Atlas - Atlantis.
We have heard that such a civilization existed.
Atlantis...
Which sank into the depths of the sea,
swallowed by the Earth's oceans.
Or heavenly.
Perhaps, what happens on one level;
happens on the others as well.

Draco is a cool constellation! Never thought of it that way, the dragon that flies between two bears, cool. Who knows what became of Atlantis though... Interesting thought though that what happens one level happens on all levels!
