Well steemians, I made it through my first semester of the Medical Lab program. It wasn't easy but so worth it. There is so much I learned and I didn't expect to have as much fun. Working with a microscope everyday, analyzing the cells we're made of is amazing.
One of the coolest parts of the program was the phlebotomy portion. For the first three weeks I worked at a hospital and had to draw blood from 50 patients. Initially I was freaking out because I would be sticking 50 people with a needle but after poking 35 patients my nerves went away a bit and the last 15 were easier.
There are still 4 semesters to go and so much to learn, but at the end of the tunnel will be so many opportunities. I'll try to keep post my progress and things that learn. In the meantime, I have been tagged by @soundwavesphoton for a Black and White photo challenge so I need to get on that.
