ROM.12:11- Equation In The Service Of God And Humanity
In study of the scripture today, I discover a simple mathematical equation in the book of Rom 12:11; Not slothful/lazy in business, fervent in spirit, serve the Lord. {Rom 12:11}
There are two variables in this equation that is constant and needs to balance before arriving at the correct answer. These variables are: {Not lazy in business + fervent in spirit} = serving the Lord}.
In other word: {diligent + fervent = serving the Lord]
Just like mathematical equation of {1+2 =3)
In arriving at the answer 3, the two {1+2} or {2+1} must be constant always whichever way one apply the equation in other get the correct answer.
Likewise, in serving the Lord and humanity, the two variables {diligence + fervent} must be constantly apply. This equation leads me to the parable of the talents in the book of {Matt. 25: 14-30} what this equation is all about.
To be slothful is to be lazy or idle in our business. The opposite of lay is diligent. To be fervent in spirit means to be keen, enthusiastic or eager
To serve the Lord means to perform, attend to, and work for God and humanity.
Any attempt to deviate from the variables makes the equation not to balance and therefore unacceptable to God.
In conclusion, whatever we do as business of God and our own circular job, we are encourage to be diligent, fervent in spirit then the resultant effect will be to serve the Lord and humanity.

And whatever you do, do it heartily or wholeheartedly as to the Lord, and not unto men. Colossians 3:23.
The result of diligence and enthusiastic in working for God, is seen in the parable of the talents in the book of Matt. 25: 14-30.
Do you see a person who is efficient in his work? He will serve kings. He will not serve unknown people. Pro. 22:29.
