Reflecting in everyday life!

Have you ever sat down and reflected upon your day, what if I told you that this could help you in the future...... but how?

There are two types of reflecting:

Reflective practice

Reflective practice is reflecting or thinking about something you do in you everyday life or about something you have learnt etc.

Reflective learning

Reflective learning is reflecting on something that you have already completed, analysing it and deciding what could be done differently next time in order to succeed if you didn’t or even how to improve it next time.

But how does this help you ask?

Reflecting helps when you reflect on work or what you have done during the day and think of ways to improve it next time, think: What can I do next time to make it more enjoyable, or to make me achieve better in my task etc. In this way, you are bettering yourself and your look on life to make you all round a better person and a more knowledgeable person. It also makes sure that what you learn or accomplish is going to good use and not to waste.

What are the steps in reflecting in a positive and effective way?

Look back: Look back and reflect on the work that you learnt as soon as possible.

Analyse: Analyse the work and make sure you completely understand the work that was set out for you!

Look forward: look forward and if you failed try again, do not give up and use what you have learnt and analysed to motivate you to keep moving forward

Personally I have found reflecting to be very beneficial to me as a person, I have learnt how to fix my mistakes that I make for next time and not only that, I have also made myself more knowledgeable and active in the mind.
