What is studying?

Studying is defined as the "application of the mind to the acquisition of knowledge, as by reading, investigation, or reflection".

I am currently studying for exams and I thought I would give some pointers on how to study effectively!

Step 1:
Start by finding a quiet place, at a desk, outside anywhere really except for where you watch TV and sleep. The reason for that is as soon as you sit at those places where you do in fact watch TV or sleep your mind goes into rest mode and can not hold information.

Step 2:
Try get all your study material in one place, having to get up all the time to find a pen or the notes you made a while back distracts you from your actual learning.

Step 3: If you enjoy color try color code certain colors to what they mean for example Blue-Definitions. Remember only highlight the key words or important phrases as much you can so you are not learning everything word for word, besides definitions of course!

If you are not someone who uses color make notes however you feel comfortable if you have noticed it works in the past.

Step 4: Read over your notes again and again until you are sure that you n=know it well enough.

Step 5: Ask if someone can test you to see if you know your work

Step 6: lastly go over important information again before your exam to ensure you know what you need to know!

Always remember to get enough rest a day or two before the exam and try not to stress. If you studied you will be fine!

A quiet place is certainly necessary to study well

Learning never stops throughout life, testing oneself is ongoing, stressing over it is no longer an option.

Now back to taking an exam, glad I have passed those years of being nervous, not sure if taking the exam is worse than waiting for the results @ihal0001

Hahaha VERY true!! @joanstewart

I am actually going to college tomorrow for the rest of the week.

What are you writing exams for specifically?

I am currently studying programming at university and tomorrow my exams start. Tomorrow I am writing maths and then Friday I write programming. @zakludick

Sweet. Good luck with it!
