The brain waves can be measured with an instrument called the electroencephalogram (EEG). Professor psychiatrist who came from Germany (Hans Berger (1919-1938) found EEG, EEG is a tool that is able to visualize the human brain waves into graphic form.
According to his research, brainwaves (brainwave) not only shows the state of mind and body, but can also be stimulated to change a person's mental condition.

Joaquim Filipe in his book "Agents and Artificial Intelligence", the brain waves are categorized into 5 categories / types, namely Beta, Alpha, Theta, Delta and Gamma. Each type of wave is often correlated with different mental states.

The following is based on the frequency of brain waves, below:

# 1. BETA (12 Hz - 25 Hz)

These waves occur when a person experiences mental activity wakefulness. For example: thinking, rational, problem solving, and state of mind. This frequency is usually dominated by the logic of one's mind. When someone is in this wave, the brain (left) is being actively used to think, concentration, and so forth, causing the waves to rise. The high waves stimulate the brain hormones cortisol and norepinephrine which causes anxiety, worry, anger and stress. Due to poor, some of diseases easily come if we are active in this wave.

2. ALPHA (8 hz - 12 hz)

The brain waves that occur when a person is experiencing relaksaksi or begin to break with signs of eye began to close or getting sleepy. Alpha is the mind that is most suitable for subconscious programming. Someone who is relaxed, daydreaming or fantasizing brain waves are in this frequency. This condition is the entrance or exit potential of your subconscious. Children under five are always in alpha state. That's why they are able to absorb information quickly. In this wave conditions, the brain produces the hormone serotonin and endorphins that cause a person to feel calm, comfortable and happy. Alpha waves increases will make the body's immunity, wide open blood vessels, heart rate became stable, and increasing the capacity of our senses.

3. THETA (4 hz - 8 hz)

The brain waves that occur when a person experiencing light sleep, or very sleepy. Eg, while trance, hypnosis, meditation, and khusyu. Keep in mind, the alpha and theta is the wave of the subconscious mind. Therefore, children are fast in learning, imagination, easily receive information as it is. The emission frequencies indicate someone is in a state of dream. In this condition, the mind can be very creative and inspiring. Someone will be solemn, relax, quiet your mind and intuition arises. This all happens because the brain secrete melatonin hormone, catecholamines and AVP (arginine vasopressin).

4. DELTA (0.5 Hz - 4 Hz)

Brain wave occurs at the moment when you are asleep, without a dream. The delta phase is the resting phase for the body and mind. Your body's process of self-healing, repair damaged tissue, and actively producing new cells when you are asleep. The lowest frequency appear when someone fell asleep without dreams, unconscious, unable to feel the body, and do not think. In this wave of brain secrete HGH (Human Growth Hormone / growth hormone), which can make people stay young. When a person sleeps in a stable state of Delta, sleep quality is very high. Although only a few minutes, he would wake up with the body still feels fresh.

5. GAMMA (25 Hz - 40 Hz)

These waves occur when a person experiences a very high mental activity with full awareness of the condition. For example: was in the arena game, the race for the championship, very panic, hysteria, and fear.
These brain waves are very dangerous for the brain.

Good job! This is a subject I have delved into quite deeply as the years went on and really enjoy seein such knowledge being shared. you get my upvote, namaste :)

Nice one, I wrote something on this as well, we use this a lot to measure healing and hurting aspects: https://steemit.com/health/@kyusho/to-infinity-and-beyond-infinity

Now following

Wow.....
@kyusho You're a doctor?
EEG is currently widely used in major hospitals.

Hah no but I work with them. I am a therapist and martial artist... we attack and correct the nervous system in real application. So we also sought to find out the why's.

hmmm i like it,,, I also studied martial arts, but that was a long,
and I ended since 2011 ago.
