Why do we learn so many useless things in school that don't have feasible any real-world applications whatsoever?

  1. Today's education system was Developed 200 Years Ago during Industrialization.
  2. It teaches kids to be robots, workers, Obey, Listen to Authority without Questioning
  3. Students forget 95% of what they learn in high school 3 Months after graduation!
  4. What's the point of making them struggle so hard for the Tests, Quizes, Exams, if they forget everything because they don't CARE about the way you teach.
  5. Our Kids are getting more and More Obese, School Food-poisoning is at All time High.

What School Doesn't Teach?

  • Importance of being Healthy, Vibrant, and having the Energy.
  • How to manage Money.
  • How to manage Time.
  • How to develop good habits and maintain them.
  • Learning From Failure is how you become successful
  • Manners
  • Relations: How to Connect and Converse with other people
  • Personal Credit, Credit Cards, savings accounts, Passive income.
  • Dating and Romantic Relationships, The importance of choosing the right partner.
  • How to Think for yourself. How to Make Important Decisions
  • Being emotionally Stable.
  • and MUCH more.

Instead we Teach our Kids:

  • Schools Require Knowledge, Life Requires Wisdom
  • Kids are mostly taught to read and memorize information. Then they test kids how well they remembered. If you got an A you are a good person, you got a C-D you are a bad person. We teach them to divide into groups: Smart Kids, "Dumb" Kids, "not so smart Kids"
  • Every Child is a Unique Human Beeing and we Must Respect that.
  • They teach us that College - the safe, sure way for a great career (it’s not).

Let's look at some Facts and Statistics:

  • In 2011, 1.5 million, or 53.6% of college grads under age 25 were out of work or underemployed (U.S.). That's More than HALF and all of them have Stedent Loans to Pay
  • And for those that do have jobs? 48% of employed U.S. college grads are in jobs that require less than a four-year degree doing low quality jobs.
  • Six times as many graduates are working in retail or hospitality as had originally planned.

Conclusion: What Do We want Our Children's Future to Be like? Future generations are Future of our planet. We have to take these matters seriously!

The Old System is too Broken

  • It's Time that we create a whole New Systems that Empowers them and gives them everything they need to be a Success and make this world a better place!

Education system is business ... We need to teach kids at our homes ..

We do need to improve the education system. There are a few things that need to be done.

Most importantly, restructure the University system in a way that moves AWAY from the education for profit agenda. Even public and "not-for-profit" schools over hire administrative staff, under pay educators, and collude with publishers to set obscene prices for books and required materials. This model benefits people who aren't even providing the education and drives profits.

Start parenting again! I understand that 2 parent households often mean 2 working parents and very little time or energy to spend with our children, nonetheless we are their parents. It is partially our responsibility to teach them financial literacy, emotional intelligence, and life skills.

Bring back art, music, trades, and home economics. Give kids options in school to develop enough personal and financial skills to pursue future careers and personal business ventures.

Teach investing for the future, not saving for safety! Saving your money (no matter how hard you work) will never get you anywhere. If your dime isn't working for you it's working for someone else (the bank, the corporations, politicians ...)

Just some of my thoughts on the subject

Awesome blog post!

Thanks :)

@adil Very good points. The school system needs to restructure education for
the future generation. Too many are realizing that what we have been taught in school has no real world applications and that what's really being taught is how to be average. Like everything else, we need to adapt and grow, the school system should adhere to these same principals.
