Our Mom, Who Never Ask For Anything. But What We Have Given??

in #ecotrain6 years ago

Many of us or I would say all of us know Earth as a planetary object in the galaxy that revolves round the Sun. However in actual, Earth is more than a celestial object for Human Being. It has abundance of natural Resources which helps Mankind to survive.

Another interesting thing I noticed recently is that Earth is always referred as “She” which indicates it has a feminine connection. Or that's why Earth is always referred as "Mother",

In India, we use to call Mother Earth, but I was wrong when I came to know that Earth is refered as Mother everywhere, not only Indians, but all around the world, making it a common Mother for all. And rightly so, as like our real mother Mother Earth always feeds us in many ways.

That's why it is correct to referred Earth as "SHE"

HOW CAN WE EXPLAIN MOTHER EARTH'S LOOK ???

This is a question by 11years old #drawingqueen made me to make an imaginary figure of our Mother. How one can explain our Mother look🤔?? I know saying and referring easy but is it possible to give it look, a face, a body, a hair, a skin etc.

I tried to explain with some imaginative figure

Mother Earth is alive and help us in surviving, The Grass on the ground is her Hair, The Soil that gives us food is her Flesh / Skin The natural Rocks and big Boulders are her Bones, The blowing Wind all around is her Breath.

I do not know how I faired, but she came up with another question, which simply send a severe and had no answer with me. She asked me...

WHAT WE GAVE TO OUR MOTHER EARTH??

Simply I have to cut her questionaire session in middle. As I have no clue, to this question. I wondered, we humans always take from our Mother Earth, but never give her back. She help us with many things and help us to live but in return we never care about her well being. This resulted in vast deforestation, natural calamities and many adverse effect. But still we did not learnt from our mistakes. Or I am wrong??

Do you have answer to #drawingqueen question??? Help me answer her or answer to our MOTHER EARTH.

Stay Calm....

WHAT WE GAVE TO OUR MOTHER EARTH??

That is a good question which #drawingqueen asked! I like to think that we give to Mother Earth when we recycle things, when we plant trees, when we admire her beauty, and when we honor her by appreciating things we find (flowers, pretty rocks, fruits, *etc.*). It is true that we can never repay her as much as she gives to us, but Mothers never expect their children to pay them. We do it because we love.

That's true.... That is the true face of a mother who always wants her child to blossom and she can feed them as they wants. We can only appreciate the amount of help and support that mother earth gives us

A lot of thinking for sure. It is us, we are her. It all comes from the same stardust we once all were

Ummm make sense....but anything we can help her with

Maybe just picture out that mother earth is a woman like mothers who gave us all what we needed (food, air, water, etc). And we the people are the children of that mother. I hope my answer helps :)

Thanks @pjcorts indeed a good one but atleast we can give love to her ...but I see people just exploit them ...just to fulfill own needs.

Like @psyceratopsb said: it is us, we are her. Mother Earth, Mother Nature, Gaia. We are her children, she is our home. She is the supreme inspiration of all artists. We need to take care of her, so that she can take care of us.

And what we are giving her...we just exploiting her ......we need to preserve and take care of her

I think asking the questions is an excellent beginning? 'What do we take?' (and how and why?) and 'What do we return-give-back?" Looking forward to you thoughtfully unravelling & answering these questions, over time, while you contribute to @ecotrain. Are you up to answer @eco-alex's challenge about having children? 🤔

Sure @artemislives the question is in my radar. I would get free by Sunday so hopefully will seat and work upon on that question. .....btw I am still searching to get an answer for #drawingqueen...her eagerness to explore earth pretty excites me too

Lovely that you take the time to answer her questions!
Personally I like working with nature and trying to enhance it - this way helps us flourish!

I know...I saw you everywhere when it comes to Nature. ....

Mother earth doesn't demand that we give anything back, yet if we treat her in certain ways, including what many companies and governments continue to do, she will passively punish us by becoming a planet that is difficult to sustain human life on. Of course, to Mother Earth that matters little. Once she saw dinosaurs roam her surface, but other than the birds, all the dinos are gone now. Before them there were other creatures, and before biological creatures lived upon here there were just winds, her skins, and the tears of her oceans. More than any other children of Mother Earth, it is our responsibility to see that she keeps us safe; yet we have decided not to do so by continuing to burn fossil fuels and pump our greenhouse gasses at record rates. Mother Earth may weep when we die, but she will have other children to take our place.

Good question @steemflow

Love the picture depicting Mother Earth, the soft side.

Thanks @joanstewart ....found one on internet...

Wouldn't it be interesting if we get to start saying, FATHER earth or, sister earth or baby earth or brother earth? I think its our perception that earth is our home and its nurturing and cherishing us makes us think of it in the most positive and caring way- thus- MOTHER earth.

And what we give back to her??? Except exploiting all the natural resources

Posted using Partiko Android

I think you need to skirt gently on that because, we cannot really undo that quickly the "exploitation" done by the past generations. But, recognizing and the willingness of most of us to do something about it is a great start- I think.

Bahut achaa bhai sahib. In India the Sanskrit Veda talks about Mother Earth as Bhumi Devi, protected by Vishnu and one of his consorts. Your answer was correct and echoed the Veda, saying her rivers are like her veins and forests like her hairs, etc.

I learned from my teachers in India about the Veda and I believe it is the original text on the subject of our mother Earth and the universe.

Wow... You surprised me with Hindi. bahut achi hindi aati hai apko. ....thats true Vedas does talk about Earth and have a special place. We worship it as well ... But in real wenecrcared to give something back in real to mother earth

Posted using Partiko Android

Great reflection about our lovely planet. I pretty much agree that earth is mother, therefore "she"

Mother Earth gives birth to everyone and everything.

That's true...and as like real mother we always look to get something but never are to give back something...
