thanks walkerland, i did see it. do we have to share someone else's post though? not clear on that...

I had to read it twice and I think it goes like this. You share your own post and a photo form that post in the comments. Then people can upvote it. I guess the less upvotes you get the better your chances of being featured?

I figure homesteading/permaculture being such a small niche in a very broad audience ... it could work out.

thank you. haha. i wasn't sure after i read it either. i'll go try it out though at your recommendation <3 thanks again!

I guess we'll use you as the "tester" and see how it goes (lol).

I re-steemed - for whatever that's worth with my small audience!

thanks, you're so cool! <3 i think every eye that sees this is worth it! we've been waiting to share this post (for what it's worth) until we get a big enough following. honestly, the high tunnel post didn't really pick up a following until it was out for a while. i hate it that on steemit things get buried so quickly. these are definitely reference posts for people in the US to come back to to understand the grant situation and guidance posts, i guess, for people to learn more about polyculture perennial plantings! it's always great to spread what is possible! :) <3

If you want I'll share it on my walkerland facebook page as well. I do a lot of content curation there and a lot of people that follow that page are in the US. I really am a big fan of your writing. I learn from you every day!

We have a "tree plantation" on our homestead. About 4 acres of the land we live on (out of 90) was cleared completely. Too much forestry in this province without thought. We are lucky that the rest of the land is woods and feel like we are protecting something precious just by "owning it".

The people that built this house got a grant to reforest some of the cleared land with evergreen type trees. Eventually we will be completely hidden from the world :)

There's still about an acre and a half that's not been done, this is is where the house and gardens are. I am doing my best to create a food forest. This place will be our sons one day and I hope to leave him something magical.

wow that's awesome about your protectedness and ability to protect! what a blessing, isn't it? to be connected to plant life in this way and get to steward it as a human instead of only thinking of profit or what we can short-term get...

This place will be our sons one day and I hope to leave him something magical.

i absolutely love this. we don't have kids, but i think the most beautiful thing anyone can do for their kids or future gens is to create magical places full of food!!! the stuff dreams are made of! great job!! i'll look forward to seeing how your food forest unfolds. it really is fun work of a lifetime! your gardens look beautiful from what i've seen and you're a great researcher, so i'm sure your aesthetic and "eye" for the food forest will be something for a magazine..

Would love a share on facebook! what is your page there? I'll find ya :) (feel free to DM on discord if you don't want to share on steemit??)

chaotic and eclectic is more like it. I am a whirlwind of randomness.

The page it public. It's tied to my poor neglected blog. Steemit has taken over my blogging life :)

Have you heard of @ocd? You could try the #ocd-resteem tag next time. I'm sure this would have been picked up by them as it's a quality post. I don't think they'd curate it now though as it's to close to the $20 mark, but have a look at their criteria.

thanks for this! i usually do tag ocd-resteem, but i haven't been curated by them lately so i started to think that perhaps i have too high of a rep score? i know with curie they only take you when you're quite new. i don't know the rules/limits for @ocd- perhaps someone can enlighten me. thanks for your tip!

Sorry, the tip is higher then your deposit.
You can check your balance by sending 0.001 SBD to @tipu with memo: balance
(the minimal tip is 0.1 SBD)

This is the post about it. https://steemit.com/ocd-resteem/@ocd/ocd-introducing-ocd-resteem-get-resteemd-by-ocd
I think you do for the criteria, but with more and more people joining they might prioritise newer people. The last post I tagged to them got curied instead, so it's hard to know for certain...
