oooooh interesting thanks for the note about the Dunstan chestnut. honestly ANY size food forest is the perfect size! i'd love to see food forests in every yard, park, school, playground, etc!... it's where we need to move to. That's true--you can squeeze in a LOT of plants in a small space. We have over 100 perennials planted on our 1.3 acres so far, with guilds in progress as we fill in the herbaceous and understory layers. We're doing raised beds + companion planting for annuals as well. I'm also just starting to incorporate biodynamic planting practices too!!
