As the fresh Nobel Prize for literature Bob Dylan said: all the times there are changing..
My mother started to work as a nurse and after 35 years she was working for the same company, My father eventually changed twice, I changed 5 times and I opened my own consultancy business. So I basically change employer every 6 months on average, but now I call them clients, not employers.
When we write on Steemit we basically are entrepreneurs of ourselves, trying to share our thoughts and to earn something, but we get paid only for the value other people recognize to our post.
It is true, Steem power incentives the will to use the money on the platform, this way there is a small increase it the value perceived by the writer, but this is in a certain way just a entry effect. On the long term it slows down.
So how do we face this ever changing times? do we ask for more help from the state? Searching our way, quoting Bastiat "to live on the expenses of someone else" or io we invent our multiple, unique, unrepeatable way to make money? It is not to be ashamed, there is nothing wrong in making money, there could be something wrong in the way we use them, but that's not the point.
Never in the history so many options were available to the normal guy to earn his life. Think about Uber if you drive, Airbnb if you have a house to rent and Steemit if you are a writer. And think about the new jobs that allows you to stay in your place working in your preferred environment.
These types of jobs are now the minority, but it is incredible how new generations are pretty comfortable with that. And the choice is always the same: play safe trying to find the company that will pay you a salary for all your lifetime (good luck with that) or always try a new additional way to increase your revenue and your patrimony.
I choosed the second one..
