How do we fix it?
This is the exasperated question that my friend asked over a drink.
A fairly typical discussion that is happening the world over right now. Prices rising. Standards falling. What is going wrong...?
But it's even worse as we're in the UK!
We discuss politics at length but I'm staring down into my drink thinking:
Do I tell that I think it's because the money is broken?
And if I do tell him, am I prepared to walk him through the history of money and how / why we landed where we have landed?
This is the thing. It's not a quick discussion. It's a rabbit hole that you need to go down otherwise it feels like conspiracy peddling or similar.
Maybe next time we'll go on the journey and I'll open the door for him to explore. It's one heck of a journey
