hi! @goldendawne... The plastic needs to be replaced every 1 to 3 years, depending on various conditions. If one were to carefully remove the plastic each year once summer arrives, and only use the plastic during the colder months, it could last longer. I have found that the heat and sun and wind of summer do the most damage to the plastic. There are also more expensive, but perhaps longer lasting "greenhouse plastics" that could be used, but as I said they are a lot more expensive, and in my personal experience they do not outlast the 3 or 6 mil. plastic long enough to warrant their expense.
