No really there is an app for that, and it is called QUAKEALERT in fact recently it even kind of predicted a quake before it even hit, which is super useful for the people living in the area.

The app gave about 34 seconds of warning before the quake hit, which is amazing considering besides pets reacting before things happen I have not heard of anyone issuing a quake warning prior to a quake taking place until now with this app.

The app uses alot of seismic sensors to detect location,and magnitude of a Quake.

I am not saying it will always give you an early warning, but just the fact it has, and COULD is reason enough to have the app on your device for safety.

There was a Magnitude 5.3 earthquake 40 miles from Oxnard, CA on Apr 5th, 2018 at 3:29 PM

There can be major damage following a major quake
