RE: Flat Earth Hub- Hitchtng for Truth #001

in #earth8 years ago (edited)

I wouldnt go as far as to say the debate is widely growing. Im a subscriber of a few flat earth channels on youtube and not nessicarily to believe it, but just to consider the potential for truth. Where as most arguments hinder on the fact that many and most viewers havent been to space, anchoring that as the reason to doubt what weve been taught. Ill explain how i believe the sun rays to appear so closely. It has to do with the reflective properties of the water molecules in clouds and the air around us. So just as you can shine a beam of light into a cloud from a fog machine it will illuminate alot more of the cloud and disperse the light through it much more widely than just where the beam is hitting. Thats why no matter where you are on an overcast day, these rays of light can be observed going in many directions depending on where you are. For example if you are in spot A at high noon and observe the sun as directly above you since light beams disperse evenly around you. Then travel to spot B 50 miles away with same overcast or tree cover, you will still observe the dispersion of light beams in the same way.

Ps. Its not a debate, its an appeal.
