Leonard Cheshire alleviated tranport problems to some desperate disadvantaged learners in rural areas of Zimbabwe. The responsibility is now left to responsible authorities to chip in where this organisation left!.
Councillors should monitor the effective use of these tricycles. This will promote the EDUCATION FOR ALL Goal, spearheaded by Ministry Education . Each stakeholders within each school.should contribute to the welfare of underprivileged learners

It was a good and noble thing that Mr. Cheshire did. However, ultimately the responsibility lies with us not to chip in where he left off. Rather, it's to meet him half way. He brought the children to school. We should bring the schools to the children. I've seen an 11-year-old boy on a wheelchair being pushed to school by his 8-year-old brother on gravel roads over a distance of 5km. The best we can do is to put our heads together to see how we can reduce the distance.
Surely I agree with you. A certain percentage of school and council coffers should cater for such disadvantage learners. It's our responsibility to ensure that they benefit from the learning opportunities exposed to them. They should not miss a lesson due to mobility problems.
Thanks for the support. May God bless you.
Its a gud thing, but the maintanance of these should be properly done to ensure they serve the community for longer periods.
Thanks. However it is juty of everyone in the local community to promote the disadvantaged in their society.
I agree with you. May God bless you.
Thanks to Tinashe, unbelievable, Davison, protious-musicus and ubg for the support you have given.
