Women in our life

I have been thinking out loud of recent about the importance of women in the society. For me I can say that without the existence of women on earth, the world will surely be a very boring place to stay. Judging by the fact that, the men will have no companion and the funny thing which all might not believe to be true is that most men will not bother to be successful because they will not have the need for it.

Then I ask, are women actually treated the way they deserve?

Firstly I start with how important they are in the home being the smallest unit in the society. Most men have relegated the use of women in the house to just kitchen and bedroom. But to me this is not right, the woman is meant to be seen as a companion, a colleague, a partner, adviser, personal assistant and above all every woman in the house is meant to be seen as a mother. She helps in planning of the family affairs, direct and uphold family standards. Helps to inculcate discipline and administer care to every member.

Our president once said, "she belongs to the kitchen and the other room". It is quiet pathetic if we regard our women this way for the growth of the family will be hanging on a tiny thread.
Looking at a home whereby the value of the woman is held in a high esteem, there is always this level of success and fulfilment that follows and it is manifested in the lifestyle of the family.

Secondly, All over the world, women have played significant roles in their countries' development. The importance of women in our society cannot be over emphasized as they have contributed to the economic growth of their country by taking care of their families and working in and owning businesses and they are usually more organized when they come together to fight for a single course. They always posses this united feeling in them and drive to achieve.

They have worked as doctors, lawyers, teachers, electricians, artists and even in sports, they have proved themselves. Women have even been prime ministers of countries. Unfortunately, not every society values the role women and the contribution they make to their country's development which can be evidently seen in africa. Some of these beliefs and practices have been used to a create society in which males play the dominant role.

In many societies, they are usually discouraged to go out and join their male counterparts to attend schools, participate in politics, social gatherings or even work as it is often seen as they are meant to be in the house cooking and taking care of the children.

Being regarded as secone-class citizens in the society is often a slap to development because it is often seen that any thing a woman sets her mind on to do, usually turns out big and successful (I remember the days I was in school, any girl that starts toping the class is very difficult to pull down, even in university days, once you see the good once they are usually extremely intelligent because there mind is already made up and locked to succeed with a lot of passion and drive). Also being naturally compassionate Helps them in decision making towards ordinary human life.

Now I personally will say that women should be given more opportunities to come prove themselves..i know some people will ask the question about what happened to the women who have reached to a very high level in the county and instead of turning to do good, instead decided to loot unimaginable funds. We have the need toet women showcase themselves, they will add spice to our well being and the successful growth of the society.
