Yo! This looks really realistic. Really ripe too XD. You nailed the highlights neatly! In the video I can see some sexy purples that got subdued in the pic. It seems you used a very cool and dark red instead of a warm more bright red (as the one Shibasaki-Sama-Sensei used) as a main color for them. But no sure cause could be the cameras. I've been reading about watercolors, and in some place they said about mixing a color with its complementary, and how it could cause the colors to shift to a grayish/brownish one, in other words they neutralize. And you don't want that... Unless you do hahahaha. What I think would help you greatly is to simplify colors and think in cool vs warm colors. And maintain them separate. It can be warm where light hits, which is the common thingy, and cool in the shadows... like cool-shinobi hiding. Or vice versa is valid also. Seeing these studies makes me want more to jump into the watercolor train. Those brushstrokes are super sexy sexy sexyness... nothing that can be achieved digitally.

YOOOO zeen! I keep looking forward to seeing you joining the watercolour revolution~ I bet your watercolours will be sessy sessy sessy~ too :D :D :D

and yep, I probably need to kind organize colours better on the palette :D

Oh the palette arrangement definitively will help you, but I was thinking in the cool and warm of the actual painting. Something like this:

Though in the revenge of the Ringo the reds are quite vibe-full. Like veryvengeful reds XD. And shadows are coolio. So you're doing great already (✧ω✧)
