"We don't have a climate, we have weather!" yes, that is UK in a nutshell lol ;-) We really don't understand snow do we, no matter how many times we get it, to our infrastructure it's always like some randomly appearing anomaly that requires everything to go into shutdown mode.
I was actually surprised that the schools in my area were open, they only closed on that one day when it came down really really heavy! The news had like a "war room" affair setup with real time maps and red warning and amber warning markers lol; anyone would think the world had ended.
Absolutely, I wonder about those who are on the streets; but on my local news they reported that charities had pooled their resources and were actually out looking for homeless people and urging them to got to one of the shelters for food and warmth... That's how news should be :-)
I totally agree. There should be no one left out on the streets in this weather and in this day and age. It's inhuman and a downright disgrace that people have to rely on charities when there is more than enough for everyone!
Buckingham Palace has 700 empty bedrooms...700! in the middle of London. They could be put to better use.
