Today, we’ve got a fun one for you all the start off the weekend. Earlier last year, CNN put out the following video in order to combat the White House’s claim that mainstream media was filled with ‘fake news’ and the legitimacy of their reporting should be questioned. It became an infamous and still ongoing battle between the accounts of higher government and the news sources that were reporting on them.
Regardless of where you stand on the political spectrum, we can all agree that this commercial jab fits perfectly with the way cryptocurrency is being misunderstood and in many cases even purposefully misrepresented. There’s a great deal of intense FUD being spread for various reasons and we thought there should be more ways for us as a community to cut through that attitude and encourage a more welcoming, transparent, and even fun environment for those interested in getting involved with cryptocurrency and blockchain.

We believe that Steemit is a powerful forum and social resource for the cryptocurrency community at large. Tying cryptocurrency-education with the premier blockchain social-media platform can be an effective strategy… not just for the growth of our community here on Steemit, but for greater awareness as a whole.

It's the future... people are confused about blockchain and crypto currency today just like they were in the 1990's about the Internet and the web.

Again, most people only know about the monetary/trading aspect of crypto. How many can explain the principle of blockchain and what it could do for them. We still got a long way to go to educate people on what should be tomorrow basis

This is a great resource that I can share with my family and friends! It is hard to understand the blockchain and cryptocurrencies as a beginner, but once awareness rises even more, there will be a much bigger emphasis on explaining how the blockchain and cryptocurrencies work.
