AFRICAN SCHOOL DISCIPLINE; SO UNBEARABLE

in #dtube7 years ago (edited)

This is so pathetic!..i don't know how i can fully pour out my heart to say how Africans are being treated in their primary and secondary school while Serving for punishment. It even extends to the family where a child is being beaten or rather flogged mercilessly as if the child is a slave.

Seriously, this is disastrous (tears dropping as i'm writing this), infact let me tell you a life story of mine because i am also a victim.I live in Enugu, Nigeria in West Africa. During my primary school days, there is this teacher called Aunty Bibian because those days we call our female teachers "Aunty" and our male "Uncle", she has beards and in Nigeria eeh, if you are a female and do have small beards you are labelled wicked and its working.

So if you see the kind of cane she hits us with, hmm it is called mr do good. And before she flogs you, you will position your ass up so that the flogging will be entering your bone marrow. Do you know that because i did my assignment and got 8/10, instead of engaging me on strategic encouragement or any other thing that i can do better , she lay me down and flogged the hell out of me. After that engagement, my ass got swollen big time. Later i was admitted and from the x-ray conducted it shows that i have a bone crack. my people, that was how i stayed at home for the rest of my primary school( because then i was in prim.Five).

That's the nightmare african students are facing in there respective schools. The perants always conduct meeting with the teachers, but after much pleading and striving a way to make it better, the teachers will do there own. I know students might be stubborn at times, but flogging them like cows is not the solution.

There is a way you will treat someone , respect comes in. you can counsel your students and try to renew there minds strategically. Even at home lets put a stop to flogging.

The video in this post shows exactly what i am talking about concerning flogging in African schools. Please all I am saying is that this has to end, i'm making a CALL!!...let's adapt on so many other ways discipline can be achieved not by excessive flogging. Thanks so much for reading, still me @setapart.

I experienced this a lot back in the days, especially when I spent time in the boarding house during my secondary days. The truth is more than half the time I received punishment like this. I actually did nothing to deserve it. There was always an overzealous teacher or senior student who wanted to emphasize authority in a crude way. Unfortunately I still have some scars to remember these gory experiences.

Exactly my brother, the word part of it is that they always act out of wickedness, that's just they are...thanks for stopping by.
