This is a 1 minute time-lapse video of me painting a master copy of one of artist Richard Schmid's oil paintings of his wife, Nancy.
I painted this using watercolour & gouache as a painting exercise.
I am considering making more of these videos, possible some longer and with more audio content. Let me know in the comments below if you would like to see more.
I painted this master study from Richard Schmid's book; 'Alla Prima Everything I know About Painting'

This is a beautiful job, and I for one would like to see more of your work. Steem on!
A good creativity. it is a fact that some people can do magic with tiny brush and colors and this is one such one. Not everyone can draw, Not everyone can sing, Not everyone can create music. They are all special talent having inborn or God's gift.
And it was great to see you makes some fine details with the brush like collars, other background etc.
Great video. I loved it. I'm sure that in a longer one you could provide more tech details to those who are just learning how to use water colors or gouache.
I think it is a great excercise to copy masters' works. I had a lit professor who suggested re-writing entirely pieces from favorite writers so that we could grasp a word-by-word feeling of what it took to write the whole text.
I think you did a fanstastic job making watercolors look like oil.
It looks really amazing
Congratulations @robbieallenart!
