Bireuen, Aceh - 76 Rohingians, Myanmar, were stranded at Kuala Raja Beach, Kuala subdistrict, Bireuen district, on Friday afternoon.
The Air Force of Bireuen Iptu Amir MZ Police told reporters in Bireuen, saying that dozens of Rohingnya residents were stranded on Kuala Raja beach at 14.00 pm.
They consist of 42 men, 26 women, and 8 children.
They claimed to have been almost a week waved in the sea by using a boat fish weighing 10 GT.
Currently tens of Rohingnya residents are still in Kuala Raja Village and they will all be bathed because it is very shabby after day at sea.
Amir revealed, nearly 80 percent of them are less healthy because of lack of food.
"We have coordinated with PMI and Bireuen regency to help Rohingnya citizens, in the form of drugs and food and other necessities," said Amir.
He said Rohingnya immigrants allegedly will flee to Malaysia with the aim of evacuating and seeking work.
Bireuen regency plans to place these immigrants in SK Gapu Bireuen SKB Building and have coordinated with Lhokseumawe Immigration for further handling.
"The sick refugees have now been handled by medical parties," said Amir.
