This is my first DTUBE video!
In the midst of these exciting times on steemit with the amazing increase of the value of STEEM, what does such a thing do in relation to earning Steem Power. Having "been around the block(chain) a few times," I'll share some of my insight and advice with you in this video! Check it out on dtube!

Don’t waste your time online, invest it with steemit.com
your saying "Don’t waste your time online, invest it with steemit.com"
captured my attention!
I spent 8 years...... 8 years on facebook.com online for atleast 7 hours everyday and I got $0 for helping facebook become the top social media
I just spent 1 hours each day on steemit.com for 6 months and today it made me have $1000
:)
amen.
That's the way to do it.
Also, I'm sorry for your loss.
Love this energy guys . This has inspired me to dig even deeper to be more with this community !!!!
Thats it man! No more dooling
A very important video for those with little knowledge like me. I could learn a lot of things. @papa-pepper
Oh so true I’m a teenager who my dad got me started on steem and I wasted a lot of time wish I would have posted more earlier I got really started last month and it took off really fast after I started. Can’t look back . My dad told me I would regret not posting and boy oh boy do I. This was a very uplifting video. Thanks and Steem On to the 🌙
I started to get it. High price steem is good but a lot harder to get steem power.
You can get fiat equivalent but not the real thing which is SP.
Thanks for the video.
Great first Dtube video. "We don't even interact that much any more but we still love each other! We're busy helping and supporting other people now!"
** Well said!!!!!**

Here's what it would be at 100%
Here's what it is now.
Here all record will break
Congrats on getting on the wave of the future. I just posted my first Dtube video myself. It's all here and it's only getting better. Happy New Year!!!
Thanks for the video @papa-pepper, a lot of good info. I'm new to the steem comunity been here for a few weeks, and you are one of the first people i started following, I'm glad I did. I'm going to start putting in a lot more work.
Great vid Papa! Makes a hell of lot a sense to me. I hope you and all the lil' peppa's are having a great New Year! If you haven't yet go check out "steemsupply" and kudos to @dragosroua
Got a link for that? Also, we are really enjoying the year so far!
I have NOT been around very long, so here is my mostly uninformed thoughts from the peanut gallery ;)
Don't really see why its so great to see Steem rising so high unless you're planning on moving money out in a big way. Which of course, nothing wrong with that the least! That being said the high price is preventing many that I know from now buying into it, myself included. I had plans on buying in but now I'm looking elsewhere. I will of course continue to work on SteemIt... but as far as investing, that ship has sailed.
Interested in any well thought out replies. I could very well be wrong.
Thanks
Very informative thank you! What do you see are the implications of the higher cost of STEEM moving forward for newer users joining the community?

Having more Steem value does have a major impact on earning steem power obviously and it makes your voting power also more valuable (and therefore desirable, which in turn attracts more viewers)
Yes, have to agree with you on not wasting time online but investing it with steemit.com - In the past 10 years of my life I earned nothing writing countless FB posts, blog posts and whatnot. 3 months in steemit and I've already earned a few hundred dollars worth of Steem (not much by community standards but it is a big thing for anybody who never earned a penny for social media participation before).
HEHE ... papa pepper i can't imagine you are that popular and this is your first dtube video great info though.
I do like to use YouTube as a way to promote steemit and keep whoever is following me over there up to date too, but I only created a YouTube account in the first place so that I could load videos to use in my steemit posts!
alright then , don't forget to say hi to the little peppers , plus have a lovely day/night not sure.
I think I'm psychic, just today I though why don't Papa pepper makes dtube videos
There you go! New year - new tube!
Maybe eventually some homesteading videos would be nice
Papa-pepper spices Dtube with is presence! I guess this platform will further make this community valuable. Maybe even rising STEEM? Uh-oh? Moon it is.
It is an incredible time to be a steemian and dtube is just one amazing example!
Agreed! Will it be goodbye for Youtube?
Yes I see a tremendous movement in steam. Thank you very much for the information @papa-pepper. I need to find a place where there is a strong internet network to watch great videos from you @papapepper.
Watup @papa-pepper. Just wanted to stop by and show some love. Happy New Year man.
Good to see you on DTube man! Onwards and upwards! :)
Very informative video - thanks! :) I joined a couple of weeks ago and was trying to understand it all so I could try buying a bit of steem power - things got crazy pretty quickly with the steem prices! I'm stoked to be here though!
thanks friends, keep on sharing the price of steam.
I hope you can be the best.
I really enjoyed your first dtube video. New year, new beginnings.
I am excited about this new year and what it has to offer in this amazing community but I have seen the difference in payouts of my SP and I am still a bit confused so your video was a great help to understand more of it, but I guess I just have to wait and see how it will turn out this year, so whatever happens I am learning and growing with it.
Great explanation. It will definitely be tougher to earn SP going forward. Even converting SBD to Steem is tougher. It is now trading at 0.67 where less than a month ago it was around 0.15!
Darryl (@dadview) resides in Canada.
Check out my Latest Blog
Yeah, it'll be tougher, but it is a good sign of things to come!
Yet another good blog as always, also a good thing that you mentioned the steem price differences and opportunities that old users had back in the days of steemit early times, therefore new steemit users should not give up bloging good content because thats the way to succeed and that reason encourages minnows like me :).
I totally agree with you and honestly i wish i had been here a year ago.
I learned Steemit.com accidentally by watching youtube where @jerrybanfield was promoting steem and i said, "hell yea this fits me pretty well".
Although i am still working a full time job i still find some time to blog some good stuff and respond to the comments of my fellow steemians just like you do with yours @papa-pepper .
I enjoyed watching the video and the way you explain things so clearly detailed.
Keep up the good work , best regards from me.
Thanks for the video! I really wish I had bought a little extra yesterday when I was considering. Would’ve been nice to add to my nickels lol! Next time :)
Thank you for explaining. I've read the FAQs and some posts about how this works, your video was the most helpful!
I really have to start investing in my SP. That analysis you gave @papa-pepper got me. Imagine how difficult it wil be to build up SP next year if steem goes boom! Thanks for that video. Phew!!
Glad it made sense and thanks for watching!
U'r welcome!
Steemit is a very lucrative source for income if your posting like this guy , hope to be making insightful post like these once i get a following on here.
Pretty insightful actually, most people probably wont think of this aspect. I didn't really tbh...
Made me realize tho that yeap, if SBDs don't stay up it's going to be hard to amass Steem & SP in the near future.
I did notice that you sometimes power down though, thoughts on this? With respective, doesn't that kind of go against your own advice in this video lol.
Although I'm guessing that for certain Steemians (and maybe yourself) it might not make a difference provided that your accumulating more Steem than you're powering down right?
Cause then you're actually adding to your vote (and potentially your payouts and therefor can delegate more to others. That my friends is actually a good move.
I've been keeping some liquid steem instead of trying to PD (I haven't ever) and just selling that when I require it instead of drawing from SP etc.
It's part of a split: a liquid Steem goal and a SP goal I'm dabbling with.
BTW I know what you mean with the vote recovery. I've made it a point to remind myself to slow down sometimes. I give out sooo many 100% votes bc there's so many worth while content creators (and when you run a contest it makes it that much harder to hold back lol)
Anyways, wise as ever my man!
And as you said earlier, Suxs that we don;t always have the time to go around to visiting our beloved peers. Soooo.. nice to be able take a moment to see what's been going on in your world ;)
Hope all remains well!
I do sometimes power down to be honest. At the moment I have a lot of things that I have to get ready to build our house and funding is one of them. Also, to be honest, I've tried not to become "too powerful." For one, I don't vote on my own stuff anymore and also, if I am not worth as much when I upvote others, then I am not missed as much when I don't, if that makes sense. It's just hard to get around a lot of the time.
Totally makes sense! "With great power..." well you've seen spider man ;)
Less we forget that a big part of Steemit is to make $ blogging and well hopefully making content/doing things that you love in the process!
BTW It's been pretty exciting seeing the progress you've made on your property these past few months. I certainly hold great respect for what you've accomplished my man!
Hopefully 2018 will be an incredible year on our land. We have some big things planned!
@papa-pepper Congratulations on your first dtube. You choice of topic at this time is invaluable. Thank you for the added clarification.
Happy New Year @papa-pepper!
Thanks for the insights. Sure enough, the higher the price, the harder it is to mine. Must be great for the early users who were able to accumulate much more steem. I sure hope I got to know about steemit earlier, but hey, anytime is still not too late. 😆 Just keep steemin'!
I'm really enjoying all of the informative posts. I learn something new on here everyday and interacting with others truly gives me the incentive to remain a consistently active on the site, even if I am but a small redfish.
Congratulations on your first video on DTube! I'll definitely watch more of your content!
Happy New Year!
D.Tube is now at verge of taking over youtube gradually, come like in the next 2years, D.tube is going to have like 50% of youtube users on d.tube.
I can upload my vid on D no problem - can't load my snap though- wtf?
Not sure, this was actually the third time that I tried to have my 1st video on dtube and I finally got it all to go.
We had troubles with it too. What was the magic touch to get it to work?
So very true ,frankly speaking i was one of those guys who quit steemit for almost an year. now i get back on steemit and see that everyone has evolved so much. You have no idea how much i regret that decision rn. Back then it was easy to get fine payouts and now even exposure has become so tough its almost impossible to get good votes even if you write very good content. Deserved that for quitting maybe :/
Thanks for sharing! I think it is only fair that those who helped built the community first get rewarded first as well, especially when you put time and effort into it when other won't. Basically, you were one of the people that started when Steemit 'was not that cool' :).
Its informative video I like it and follow you for your feature posts I see your made logo in different post of peoples I hope i learn alot from you thank you I want to connect with you hope you provide me link of your facebook Id thank you
nice video..actually i should have thought of buying yesterday...steem has gone crazy now :)
Yeah, there's no time like yesterday! LOL!
I resteem it.
Good stuff! I just made my first DTube vid and had problems also. I hope the interface improves. Your posts have been extremely helpful to me making the decision to jump onto the Steemit raft. I will cross my fingers and keep generating good content. Hope this new year brings you health, wealth, and many more blessings.
Welcome to DTube! And wow that's crazy, I never knew it worked that way. Learn something new every day!
"Once it's gone it'll be harder to get it back" That will stick with me through these tempting times! I don't think I could power down, I feel spoiled enough with the price of SBD. Good looking out
Im so grateful to see you in DTUBE papa pepper :-) looking forward for your next post sir :-) Happy new year !!!
New Steem update ....$7 and sum :)
WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOWWWWWWWW. Best wishes.
Wow.. thanks for sharing..
amazing (y)
Thanks for making this point @papa-pepper. Hadn't really considered the "down side" of an SBD value increase.
So for a month old minnow like me the plot just gets thicker and thicker... will I be able to ever make it past minnowhood? Or is steem going to eternally climb in some manner that keeps this dream out of reach? Not trying to be cynical, at all.. i am sincerely looking for this type of answer. I am pretty committed to this platform , and have spent hours on it every day since I joined. I just wish i had heard of it last year!
Agree with you sir @papa-pepper. other social networks even how many likes you earned but no corresponding amount. Here in steemit everything is awesome. done resteem and upvote sir I learn many things from you.
I always keep an eye on your post, you share some helpful insights. Since I discovered steemit, I don't remember the last time I visited my fb or twitter account. SteemSeason#SS
