El becerrito es el cuento de la historia más bonita que ha existido
en la humanidad, el nacimiento del Niño Jesús. Lo que María sufrió
para tenerlo y luego escondiéndolo de Herodes que lo quería matar y
todo ese cuento. Lo que yo no me explico es como supo esa historia
la vaquita sabanera nuestra, entiéndase bien, la vaquita criolla,
no la vaca de Concho Quijada, ese no la deja por ahí por la sabana,
¡ese no es loco!. Bueno, la vaquita sabanera pare su becerrito y lo
esconde en un mogote; al día siguiente se presenta al corral de
ordeño muy oronda, con la barriga chupaita y la ubre ¡prensaota!.
El ordeñador la ve y le dice al becerrero:

"Ramón: cuando soltemos, sigue a la vaca Mariposa que esa bicha
parió y quien sabe donde dejó al becerro".

Ramoncito, el becerrero, la sigue y ella voltea y si ve que la vienen
siguiendo, coge otro rumbo como para despistar a su seguidor, y
entonces éste se monta en una mata y espera, y espera y espera;
por que ella tiene que ir a darle de mamar al becerro y según donde
ella se meta, allí se da cuenta el becerrero donde es que tiene la
cría, luego los arrea y lleva al becerrito al corral. Dense cuenta

La Vaca Mariposa: cuenta el nacimiento de una cría perfecta, condenada a morir y la angustia de la madre ante esa circunstancia.
