Unlike contouring or more advanced makeup skills, putting on eyeshadow is pretty simple.
Here is how to make your eyeshadow look beautiful:
What You’ll Need to Put on Your Eyeshadow
• An eyeshadow palette or eyeshadow pot that you like.
• An eyeshadow applicator or a small blending brush for the eyes.
• Makeup remover and cotton tips (just in case you make a mistake).
How to Put On Eyeshadow Like a Professional
Step 1 • Pick the Right Eyeshadow for Your Eyes.
If you have oily lids, use powder eyeshadows. These will help soak up oil and will resist smearing on the lids. If your skin is dry, look for a cream formula that goes on smooth and resists creasing.
Step 2 • Start with a Base Color.
If you’re using a palette, pick the lightest color in the kit. This color is designed to highlight your crease and bring light to the eye area. It’s great for an everyday look, although you can also opt for darker or more dramatic colors, if you’d prefer.
Step 3 • Use a Stiff, Flat Brush to Apply Eyeshadow.
Next, apply eyeshadow all over your crease in a patting motion. This will allow the pigment to stick better and last longer.
Step 4 • Use the Blending Brush to Soften the Edges.
Use the blending brush through the crease. Blend the shadow by going from the left to the right and use circular motions to get rid of any harsh lines.
Thank you,
xoxo, Melissa
