Total War Arena #18 - Testing out Pikemen

Took some pikemen down the center of Thermopylae, they're incredibly strong at herding the enemy with one drawback being that no smart player would come near them. The enemy just walked away from me as often as they could. I can see the power of pikes for sure but i much prefer swords of javelins for the freedom of combat.

Pikes are also a double edged sword sometimes with hard choices when fighting around allies who you can't predict and will often run through your pikemen which risks friendly fire on your pike wall.
