Said to lower stress and relieve pain also to be a mild sedative wild lettuce is pretty amazing. on the other hand it is very bitter. Glossy privet is toxic and should not be eaten though some say it has many uses.

Wild Lettuce (Lactuca virosa) can even be dried and smoked as a non-addictive alternative. Not healthy of course, but came in handy when I was quitting tobacco. It is not psychoactive in the usual sense but absolutely is a mild sedative. I heard it was even used by resourceful field medics during the Civil War. Use Catbriar leaves (Smilax bona-nox) as Comanche cigarette papers ;)

These wild lettuces grow in the southwest too. Texas, New mexico, down into mexico and beyond.
The shape of the leaves and the yellow dandelion like flowers in addition to the milky sap help me to recognize it.
It has been a while since I have foraged in a place as green as in this video. Super jealous.
Very cool, I'm hoping to cover my area first then move to other places in my videos but wow seems like almost every plant i find is edible or has a something about it that makes it amazing. I have a lot to to cover before I can began to move to new areas.
