You got the wrong layer for the conspiracy. Democrats and Republicans are just doing their job, talking about shit, and getting paid by lobbyists. The lobbyists are paid for by the corporations, ensuring if anyone is likely to get their way, it's not the Democrats or the Republicans, but the corporations. It's just a fight for which of the corporations will get their way.
