Admits all this craziness I have a small announcement too.
After 18 months of being part of Steemit, I have decided to become a witness.
I have been toying with the idea of becoming a witness for a while but felt like I lacked the skill in the very technical department of running a node.
But with the group @blockbrothers, that I am part of, that problem is now solved.
@bennierex our dev had no trouble setting up a server and it went live today.
We as a group ( @bennierex, @eqko, @s3rg3 and me) are now officially a witness.

After releasing our app, Steemify, for free for the community, this is really a next step for me to become more involved in the Steem blockchain.

Yeiii, this is goodnews. When I read this, I hurriedly rushed to vote, although as I voted, I did not see the user name @blockbrothers come up the list. It seems the more votes the more you climb up.I also advice those commenting to resteem this for maximum visibility, just as I have done.

Pls lets make sure we type correctly. Be case sensitive and dont put the @ in the search box. Just type blockbrothers and it will go automatically. No notification will pop up i wish there was to confirm your voting.

These guys created Steemify and my life on steemit hasn't remained thesame and i am sure you feel that way too. Just like he explained, when you get to the link, after typing "blockbrothers" into the first search box, @blockbrothers will appear and all you need to do after that is click the upvote like icon beside the blockbrothers. It will automatically send. So its not a hard task like most of you think. It takes less than 10secs.
How i wish in had the ability to vote mutiple times, i would do that without breaking a sweat because these guys are just phenomenal. Thank you @blockbrothers and i cant wait to see the outcome. Great vision once again.

Okay, just a heads up for those who would be voting, make sure you type in 'blockbrothers' with the 'b' in small letters. This matter really kept my brother and I confused for some amount of time, since our keyboard automatically starts typing with capital letters.
Also, don't expect to see any message stating you have upvoted. It just send, once you are done voting.
I think it would be better the steemit developers @ned, looks into making a message pop up example 'voting successful' after you've voted, so people can know when their vote was successful.

This news has long been over due. I've heard a lot of steemians talk about witness, and I was wondering why @blockbrothers never said anything about it.
You know, I believe the witness issue is a really serious one - one that requires full loyalty to the steemit blockchain, and IMHO I feel a criterion the should require to give higher chances of becoming a witness should be amount of time the person has powered down.
I read the announcement post and found out that @exyle has never powered down. That is exemplary. That is a person with faith in this steemit movement. Thanks a lot.
