Just back from work!!!
Feels good, tomorrow morning I am gonna be able to finally work on my 7 modes, I have an hour routine that I like to do, going through Ionian, Dorian, Phrygian, Lydian, Mixolydian, Aeolian, and Locrian starting from a G, with increasing the tempo from 120 to 180 on the double. Pretty neat, and it covers all the keys pattern.
I actually posted a vid about it last year and I 've been doing it pretty much every day ever since. It would be interesting to record a new one, and see the progress.
Something like a year and a half ago, I decided to write myself a program of things to do to increase my skills across the board, and instead of intensively working from time to time, I've been doing a little every day, and it really changed my way of breaking through plateaus.
Same for the workout, I realize that this approach allowed me not to feel burnt out too quickly and stay consistent without lacking the motivation. I can't wait to see where it leads me in another year.
I am rambling a little now so I think it's time to tell you about this song.
